Straight answers

The questions people
actually ask.

Including the ones with awkward answers. If something here is not covered, message us — we would rather sort it out before you drive up.

Flying

Before you go up.

No. Paramotors need light, steady wind, and Ramnagar does not always provide it. If the wind is gusty or the weather turns, we do not fly — that call belongs to the pilot and it is final. What we do guarantee is that you never pay for a flight you did not take. We will move you to the next workable slot or refund you in full, your choice. If the flight is the whole point of the trip, book the earliest morning you can and keep a spare day.
It is an adventure sport, so it carries real risk — anyone telling you otherwise is not being straight with you. What we control, we control tightly: every joyride is a tandem with the pilot in control, kit is checked before flying, helmets are mandatory, and flights stop whenever conditions are marginal. Always follow the pilot and ground crew instructions on the day.
None of the three. You sit in the front seat and an experienced pilot flies from behind. There is a ten-minute briefing, then a helmet and harness, and then you sit down. Your only job is to keep your legs forward on take-off and landing.
They depend on the wing and the day's conditions rather than being one fixed number. Children fly with a parent's consent and a parent present. Message us the ages and weights in your group before you book and we will confirm exactly who can fly and on which package.
Yes. We will not fly you if you are pregnant, have a heart condition, have had recent surgery, have a back or neck injury, or have been drinking. Please tell us when you book rather than at the field — we would much rather know in advance than turn you away on the day.
Early morning first, sunset second. The air is calmest just after sunrise and in the last two hours of light, which makes for smoother flying and far better photographs. Midday is often too thermally, especially in the warmer months.
Our packages are defined by altitude and ground covered rather than by a stopwatch — Kitty Hawk covers around 3 sq km, Cruiser around 7, Explorer around 11. Allow about forty-five minutes at the field from arrival to walking away, including briefing and gearing up.
No, and no legitimate operator does. That is protected airspace and protected wildlife habitat, and we stay well clear of it. We fly over the open farmland and the Kosi belt on the approach to the park, with the forest and the foothills along the horizon.

Practical

On the day.

Closed shoes, always — no sandals or slippers for flying, the ATV, the mud bike or the zipline. Full-length trousers are more comfortable than shorts. It is colder at altitude and in the early morning than it feels on the ground, so bring a layer. Tie long hair back, and leave loose scarves and dupattas in the car.
Yes, with a wrist strap — anything dropped in flight is gone, and it is a hazard on the ground. Ask about mounting an action camera to the cage. Note that the pilot is flying and cannot hold a camera for you, so if you want footage of the take-off, leave someone on the ground with a phone.
Use the booking button anywhere on this site, or message us on WhatsApp. Tell us the date, how many people and what you want to do, and we will confirm a slot. Payment is handled directly with us — ask when you book and we will tell you exactly what is due and when.
No. There is no gate charge and no compulsory package. You pay per activity at the counter, so you can come for one zipline run or work through the whole board. Prices are published on the activities page.
Half a day covers the whole board comfortably for a small group. Fly early while the air is calm, then work through the ground activities and the range as the day warms up. Larger groups should allow longer — tell us the headcount and we will set a running order so nobody queues.
Yes, and these are some of our best days. Groups get a coordinator and a planned run order across the flying, ground and range activities. Send us a headcount, an age range and a date and we will quote it.
No. The range uses air-powered sporting rifles and pistols, recurve bows and darts — not firearms. A coach takes you through the first few shots, and everything is fired down a supervised lane at a paper or board target.
The clear, still mornings of the cooler months are the best flying of the year. Through the monsoon, flying days are far less predictable and cancellations are more common. Whatever the season, message us the day before and we will give you an honest read on the morning.

Still unsure about something?

Message us. We would far rather answer a question now than have you drive up to find out the answer was no.
